Matthew 24:3-8 (NKJV)
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
These just some of the recent 6.0 and above earthquakes. There are minor quakes happening all across the planet. There are some that will say this is business as usual. However, since 2007 I’ve watched an increase in activity and a pattern in the pinging back and forth across the globe. This would seem to indicate a shaking that will align the plates for some sort of catastrophic event. When? I do not know. What I do know is found in the scripture above.
See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
So, I encourage you no to be troubled by these events or live in fear of them but we must watch and pray. If these are the beginning of the sorrows then what is to come is so much worse. Since the first of the year there seems to be a whole lot of shaking going on:
Major Earthquakes (including those mentioned above)
- Magnitude 7.1 VANUATU February 02, 2012
- Magnitude 6.6 SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS January 15, 2012
- Magnitude 7.2 OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORTHERN SUMATRA January 10, 2012
- Magnitude 6.6 SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS January 09, 2012
- Magnitude 6.8 IZU ISLANDS, JAPAN REGION January 01, 2012
If you want to be alert to these potential “sign” here are some ways to do it from the USGS: The USGS is offering earthquake alerts via two twitter accounts @USGSted and @USGSBigQuakes.
On average, @USGSted and @USGSBigQuakes will produce about one tweet per day, however, aftershocks following major earthquakes can greatly increase this number. Users interested in custom alerts based on specific geographic regions and magnitude thresholds should sign up for e-mail alerts distributed by our Earthquake Notification Service (ENS).
We are told in Hebrews 12:27 that “all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain“. Therefore, stand fast in the faith even when the ground under your feet is moving!
We want you to see what is coming so we are leaving the LIGHT on!
